I wasn't actually planning to cover the launch of the Kardashian Kollection UK clothing range with Dorothy Perkins, as I wasn't sold on the campaign imagery (bit too airbrushed for me) and didn't really do the collection, sorry, kollection, justice. But, having gone into store and looked at the clothing close-up I'm actually very impressed with the quality, finish and design features and cut of several pieces, especially the shirts and jackets.
However you feel about Kim Kardashian's world domination, this clothing collection, and the Kardashian's US clothing range, is very true to their personal style and you can and will see them wearing the collection themselves. And that's a very rare with a high street collaboration.
What really impressed me on closer inspection was the clever, technical pattern cutting on dresses, jackets and leggings that actually gives some of the pieces a luxe look far beyond the price tag. Here are the items that I really liked, including the 'smoke' print items, tailored blazers and pussybow blouse.
So don't judge it on appearance if it's not your bag, go and have a look and see if it surprises you too.
