Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Evans and Wallis: AW 2012

Summer may have been a wasted washout, but at least we have AW 2012 fashion to look forward to. The Autumn Winter Season collection edit from Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Evans and Miss Selfridge was showcased last week, and there were some very exciting items on display.

Here's a whistle stop tour at what you'll be wearing this Autumn Winter. My highlights were definitely the new footwear collection from Olivia Rubin London for Dorothy Perkins, including studded and patterned slippers, beautiful prints and a stunning coat from Clements Ribeiro for Evans, leather jackets and glam-goth knitwear from Miss Selfridge, and the entire colour palette at Wallis - red, white and blue is so perfect for winter! The best bit, this will all be in the shops very soon.

Louise Gray for Topshop: Never Too Many Sequins

A girl (or boy) can never have too many sequins, and London Fashion Week designer, Louise Gray, is the queen of sequins. Good news for everyone is that Louise Gray has just launched an exclusive capsule collection for Topshop.

From one of the most vibrant and innovative designers to ever grace the London fashion scene comes a Topshop collaboration that doesn’t just sparkle, it shines with pure creativity. Think bold, think bright, think imaginative beyond belief and you’re left with a fashion and make-up collection that’s guaranteed to get your sartorial pulses racing. From playful party dresses and sequin-embellished tees to shimmering glitter pots and fluoro eye-palettes, get ready to dazzle with iridescence… Louise Gray for Topshop.
I'm loving not only her fun and bold smiley face, glam 90s raver designs, but her colour-popping, neon-tastic make-up range. Not for the fainthearted, but I can guarentee we will see lots of Louise Gray for Topshop at London Fashion Week S/S 12!

Solange Knowles for Madewell Fall 2012

I have had a style crush on Solange Knowles (Beyonce's lil' sister) for EVER and this campaign with Madewell is only making me love her more. That afro, that grin, that fun-yet-chic style - L.O.V.E!

Taking the Madewell baton (yep, still stuck in an Olympic frame of mind) from a very stylish Brit, Alexa Chung, Solange mixes prints, colours and textures in the Madewell Fall 2012 campaign to create a crisp, cool and ever so stylish autumn wardrobe.

And I don't know about you, but I will definitely be mixing polka dots and stripes this autumn!

Check out the behind the scenes video from the shoot and prepare to fall for Solange even more.

Donna Ida AW 2012: Military, Mulberry and Baroque

AW 12 Military Trend

I've been flicking through the Donna Ida Autumn/Winter 2012 lookbook since it landed on my doormat, and I can't get enough of the trends they're highlighting. I think we're all well versed on what the big trends are for AW, but just in case we need a refresh before we get lost in the Spring/Summer 2013 fashion weeks (gulp), Donna has lent a helping hand.

AW 12 Military Trend

The trends that I have my money on for AW this year are baroque, military and the beautiful mulberry shades that were all over the catwalks. Chanel and Miu Miu championed the mulberry trend, with head to toe looks, McQ and Aquascutum gave marching orders with their chic military styles, and a gothic take on baroque was everywhere, but especially championed by Givenchy and Gucci.

AW 12 Gothic Baroque Trend

Thankfully Donna Ida has pulled together the key items for each and every trend that we need to know about for AW. For the military trend, we've got chic J Brand jeans mixed with leather jackets from Rika and officer inspired styles from Smythe. The mulberry trend is all about wearing shades of the colour head to toe, so team jackets and tops from Elizabeth and James with some Current/Elliott skinnies. And finally, the other trend I'm coveting has to be baroque, so make sure you go gothic luxe with Elizabeth and James tux jackets and baroque print jeans from Paige and J Brand.

What's your favourite AW trend?

Disney Haute Couture

No, not wedding dresses and evening wear by Disney (although this has happened - google it people!) but the beautifully imagined haute couture gowns modelled by our favourite Disney princess and badass villains by Russian fashion design student Sashii-Kami.

It's so hard to pick favourites, but I love Cinderella, Snow White and Cruella. Who's your favourite?

Check out Sashii-Kami's blog for more fantastic illustrations.

Jessica Biel - Red Carpet Queen

I just love it when a red carpet star gets it so right, not just for one appearance but for their whole promotional tour, and Jessica Biel has done just that on the press and premiere tour for "Total Recall". Mainly in neutral tones of white, ivory, subtle golds and palest pink Jessica balances her natural athletic shape with very feminine shapes and detailing, from almost bridal lace to bold bows and becomes my Red Carpet Queen.

Jessica Biel isn't always top of my red carpet best dressed lists, but she's definitely got my attention with her latest looks, from Comic-Con to The Tonight Show. The last look of Jessica's that I totally fell for was the liquid gold Versace creation she wore to the 2011 Oscars after-party. A dress I felt was a little wasted on an after-party and would have made an amazing  impact at the main event.

Jessica has amassed quite a collection on this promo tour, including the white Elie Saab Couture dress, the retro pink Christian Dior Couture, the patterned wrap dress from Giambattista Valli, the creamy lace Oscar de la Renta dress and the punchy Thierry Mugler PVC number, but which look is your favourite?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Elle September Issue

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has landed her second Elle cover and it's a September issue to boot. Looking every inch the Burberry 'body' and showcasing her iconic pout, Brit model Rosie shows why she's one of 2012's biggest faces in modeling.

In the candid interview with Elle UK, Rosie talks love and life with professional hardman/stuntman actor Jason Statham, her modelling career and her new lingerie line with Autograph at Marks & Spencer.

Elle goes on sale today and is full with 12 pages of Rosie goodness, but you can check out the behind the scenes Elle video here and find out how she strikes and pose and what her hair and beauty teams do to make Rosie look even better (if that's possible!).
