New Look and London College of Fashion Footwear Collaboration

When you hear the words 'London College of Fashion Collaboration', you know it's going to be good. So when I was invited to the breakfast launch of the New Look and LCF Footwear Collaboration, I was very excited.

Without being told too much information before hand, I wasn't sure what to expect from the collection, and whether the designs would be very catwalk fashion (read: can't walk in them) or, true to the New Look ethos, wearable fashion.

The project was a competition between MA Fashion Footwear LCF students to create footwear for New Look that would be produced and sold nationwide (a huge coup for up-and-coming footwear designers). Judged by an industry panel including Jonathon Kelsey and Giles Deacon, a final six students designs were chosen, and the overall winner was Chang Seok Ko, and his creative denim designs. The runners-up Ruth Jones, Guang Jin, Kim Kwang and Adriana Lurascu (pictured with her designs, below) will also have the designs manufactured and the entire LCF collection will be available in store in May.

Unlike designer collaborations with established designers, these student collaborations can give a helping hand in a highly competitive industry, which really make a difference to the careers of up-and-coming designers. So support a great cause and treat yourself to some fabulous footwear.

Festival Fashion from Coachella: Isabel Lucas

I was beside myself with jealousy even before the first band took to the stage at this weekends Coachella festival in California. Now, having read all the tweets and seen the amazing pictures, I'm distraught and have made it a goal to attend next year.

Famous for it's stellar line-up and Californian sunshine, this is quickly becoming the discerning fashionista's festival of choice. With A-list guest lists and fashion parties from the likes of Armani and Mulberry, what you wear to Coachella is as big a decision as what bands to see!

The person who captured the Coachella spirit best of all was Isabel Lucas. The Australian model and actress killed it in daisy chain headbands, crochet tops, maxi dresses, lace, washed-out neons and relaxed, hippy hair and plaits. This is how to do cool festival dressing, people!

Mysuelly Bags Make My Heart Beat Faster

It's no secret I'm in love with Mysuelly handbags and have been on a never ending hunt to find a good UK stockist of the French brand - well, I've only gone and found one! Spartoo.co.uk have a gorgeous selection of one of my favourite bag brands, and I will be saving my pennies to get my hands on one (or all) of these beauties.

These simple, stylish and down-right lust worthy bags are beautifully made and have that stunning 'je ne sais quoi'. The new colour blocking designs and neutral shades are *like, so hot right now*, but they're timeless enough to make them investment pieces. I know with prices from £190-392, they're not cheap, but they're also a lot less than other designer bags (and look how pretty they are!).

My one true love is still Louise Victoria, but I have a bit of a crush on the Simone (below). I just can't help myself with Mysuelly, and with it being a French brand, I think I can take a mistress! Which one is your new love?

Reese Witherspoon Water for Elephants inspired Vogue Shoot

I am in L-O-V-E with this shoot from American Vogue current issue. Water for Elephants is one of my favourite books, and I'm so excited to see the film. Reese Witherspoon is perfect casting for the role of Marlena, the beautiful, horse-whispering circus performer, and she demonstrates just how right she is for the part in this magical circus themed shoot for Vogue.

Reese wows in beautiful dresses from Dior, Sophie Theallet, Narciso Rodriguez and Dolce & Gabban, and is only upstaged by the majestically beautiful elephant. Makes me want to run away and join the circus!

Britney Spears - Slave Till the World Ends

Ok Britters, I love you, but your 'new' video, 'Till the World Ends', looks an awful lot like an apocalyptic version of 'Slave 4 U' - dancers all over you, steamy scenes, heartbeat dance moves, backlit wide shots - with the main difference being more special effects at the beginning and a Balmain-esque wardrobe. Not sure if it's meant to be a homage to your glory days, or just a way of saying Britney's back, bitch. If you want to play spot the difference, watch both videos here.

I'm very sorry if anyone watching the 'Slave 4 U' video had forgotten how a-maz-ing Britney looked in that video (those abs!!!), but you can come join me doing some crunches.

Cara Delevingne - Model du Jour

You've got to give credit to a model who can work across the entire fashion industry and be this season's Model du Jour; recently modelling for designer powerhouse, Burberry, AND for highstreet haven asos! I guess it helps if you come from the Delevingne gene pool and you are 18 year old British model Cara Delevingne (baby sister of Poppy).

I'm completely in love with her look, and she definitely hits the right spot for this seasons 70s obsession. Burberry have snapped up the Storm model and her face is currently across most of their current clothing and beauty campaigns. You might also recognise her if, like me, you have an asos obsession, as she's been modelling for them too. But I have a sneaking feeling we will be seeing a lot more of her!
