FAUN Blogger's Afternoon Tea and Afterparty
If there's one thing that will guarantee me to RSVP pretty sharpish for a bloggers event, it's a tea party! Cake, tea, gossiping (Amy, Alex, Danielle and the lovely Free Wheelin girls, Jac and Sal, helped with that bit) AND looking at pretty clothes is always a winner, so the launch event of the new uber-feminine brand FAUN got my seal of approval.
FAUN is a new fashion brand which is aiming to bridge the gap between highstreet and designer, and I immediately saw it sitting comfortably with high-end highstreet brands like Whistles and All Saints. A delicate spring palette of pale peach, cornflower blue, acid yellow, crisp white and putty gives the collection an ethereal feel and the detailed prints, mix of textures and silks gave it an understated luxury.
As we sat down to tea and cake (delicious cupcakes C/O Molly Bakes) at 'Out of Town', a gorgeous miniature treasure trove of antique goodies, we got to talk about the company, look through the current collection and find out more about the little company that clearly has big plans!
There's a good reason Sketchbook and Grazia have labeled FAUN as 'one to watch'. On first impression, the collection may seem very girly with ruffles, frills and silk, but these are toughened up with exposed zips, and subtly sexy cutaway sections to give it an edge. My favourite piece was most definitely the Cascading Frill Cami.
These are a few looks which are available on their website now - www.faun-uk.com:
