2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards Best Dressed - Hailee Steinfeld, Julia Stiles and Mila Kunis

Yep, that's one hell of a best dressed list. The new, young star of True Grit, the girl famous for 90s chick flicks and Bourne films, and Family Guy's Meg and co-star of the acclaimed Black Swan. But they all looked amazing on the red carpet in bold dresses that many other people wouldn't have been able to pull off.

Hailee Steinfeld is quickly becoming a fashion blogger favourite as she always tries something new, fresh and modern on the red carpet. Let's not forget the True Grit star is 14, *FOURTEEN PEOPLE*, and look at how she carries herself in this bold and beautiful Prada dress. Love!

Lots of people creating 'best dressed' lists of last nights SAGs have overlooked Julia Stiles in this blue ombre Monique Lhuillier dress, but there's something hauntingly beautiful about the brilliant white contrasting with the midnight blue. A simple but killer red carpet look.

Everyone seems to be talking about Mila Kunis, and for all the right reasons. Not only has see suddenly catapulted to mega stardom with the release of Black Swan (I've been a fan since she played Jackie in That 70s Show), but she seems to be proving a hit on the red carpet too. This Alexander McQueen dress is no exception.

Carina Covets Couture - Elie Saab Spring 2011

Elie Saab makes the kind of Haute Couture that makes me glad I'm a girl. Ever since I first leafed through a Collezioni Haute Couture as a young fashion student, Elie Saab has always been one of my favourite designers (and therefore gets his own post! Sorry Dior, Armani and Chanel). His delicate, detailed and desirable designs all have that 'princess' factor, which even the most harden androgynous dresser would find near impossible to resist.

The collection shown in Paris this week is no exception. A natural colour palette of blush, moss green, soft grey and lavender was punctuated with red and black. The entire collection was made up of floor sweeping dresses and cocktail dresses - being a skirt/dress addict, this was like catnip to me. I've picked some of my favourite dresses from the Spring 2011 collection, but believe me, I nearly put them all in.

Carina Covets Couture - Armani Privé, Chanel and Christian Dior Spring 2011

What's not to love about the fairytale grandeur of Paris Couture Fashion Week? It's every fashion-addict girl's dream to be in head to toe couture, but until then, we can catwalk-shop. Here are my stand-out favourites from Armani Privé's 70s meets sci-fi, Christian Dior's big and bold nod to old school couture house glamour, and Chanel's ice-cool, jazz baby collection.

Cut It Out!

Once Meester and Bosworth jump on board a trend, you know it's one to watch. And yesterday both were spotted in black cut out dresses. Minimalist, sleek, chic and slightly futuristic these dresses show just enough skin to still be sexy while working that effortless look.

Leighton Meester wore her floor length cut out Michael Kors dress on the red for the premiere of her new movie, Roommate (no idea what the movie is about, but love the dress!). While Kate Bosworth went for a demure knee length look in her black cut out Chloe dress at Sundance, the cut-away back and belly flashing crop made it more risqué.

If you want to work the cut out look, I strongly recommend Brit label, Aqua - all the cut out action you could imagine!

Emma Stone - Red Carpet Queen

Whether red or blonde, Emma Stone has a refreshing and ever-changing style on the red carpet. I've been loving Emma's red carpet style for a long time now, but after her Calvin Klein triumph at this years Golden Globes, she deserves her own post.

The natural blonde has always died her hair a vibrate red (a la Christina Hendricks), but has recently been sporting baby blonde locks for her current Spider-Man role (not a huge fan, want the red back) but it has also left Emma experimenting with her look. A more grown-up, sleek style has seen Emma embracing colour, sparkles and drama. Emma is getting some serious fashion attention now, with Vogue, Glamour and Harpers Bazaar all including her in their 'Best Dressed at the 2011 Golden Globes' lists.

What's your favourite Emma Stone look?

2011 Golden Globes Best Dressed - Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie and Eva Longoria

After looking through many, MANY pictures from last night's 2011 Golden Globe Awards, I've finally decided on my favourite red carpet looks. Putting personal opinion aside (I am not a Jolie fan) I do think she deserves to share the best dressed crown in her Atelier Versace sparkly green perfection.

Also sharing the best dressed accolade are Anne Hathaway and Eva Longoria (the Parker's long gone). Anne looked gorgeous in a backless Armani Prive dress that showed some skin in a very elegant way (take note January Jones), while Eva also gave good back in a black Zac Posen gown (try saying that after a few cocktails).

My Birthday Wishlist

My Birthday is next week (the 21st to be exact) and I've had a few people asking what I wanted for a present. That got me thinking, what did I actually want? Well here are some of the things that worked their way onto my wishlist (both real and 'I'm only dreaming'). Bonus of buying a present for a January baby, lots of things are in the sale!

When did Body Stockings become OK, Jessie J?

Not cool, Jessie J. Not cool. This body stocking should be returned to which ever 'Married to Rock' lady you stole it from. Love the hair and lippy though.

Debenhams Edition Preview: Preen, Jonathan Saunders, and Jonathan Kelsey

I've covered designer-highstreet collaborations many times on Carina100, but Edition at Debenhams is taking it to another level! With collections from three up and coming designers, Preen, Jonathan Saunders, Roksanda Ilincic and Jonathan Kelsey, and promising a minimum of four seasons each, Debenhams have really upped their game and set the bench mark for other designer-highstreet collaborations.

While attending the preview yesterday, I was instantly drawn to the Jonathan Saunders collection (which consists of nearly 30 pieces ALL under £100!) and the clean, cool colours and shapes, which are now synonymous with Jonathan Saunders, really stood out. I fell for the lime colour block dress (£65) and the blue drape front maxi dress (£50). The 'Edition' collection is so true to his signature catwalk collection (AW10 below), it's hard to tell them apart.

The Preen collection was also fantastic, with some amazing draped jersey pieces and to-die-for macs and jacket. In sophisticated shapes, and neutral shades mixed with pops of colour, the collection ticks the colour blocking and sports luxe trends of SS 11. This collection is the perfect way to buy into the coveted Preen style without the hefty price tags, with the most expensive item being a £190 leather jacket.

Available from 14th February and with all clothing priced between £18 - £190, and Jonathan Kelsey's footwear and bags from £45 - £65, Debenhams are giving us all access to some seriously gorgeous (and on trend) items for SS 2011.

The even better news is that for AW 2011 one of my favourite designers (and fresh from her Whistles collaboration), Roksanda Ilinci, will be joining the already almighty line up. Debenhams may become my new favourite place on the highstreet (sorry H&M).

Whitney Pozgay Puts the 'WHIT' in Fashion

Excuse the pun, but it just felt right! I'm currently obsessed with New York based designer, Whitney Pozgay and her collections and lookbooks. She injects so much fun into her styling and lookbooks, you sometimes forget how gorgeous and wearable the clothes are. From her 'Cartoon Couture' Fall 2010 collection, to the light, bright sports luxe Spring 2011 collection, the list of pieces I want is pretty long!

View the full Spring 2011 lookbook here and the Fall 2010 lookbook here.

Sadly WHIT isn't available in the UK, so we'll all just have to go to New York instead (if needs must, I guess!).

Spring Summer 2011 - H&M spotted the trends, then made their own!

H&M is one of my favourite highstreet stores. I buy all kinds of things there, from my NYE dress to my socks to my t-shirts, and I am loving some of the new items that are dropping instore at the moment. Look behind the sale racks and you'll see the amazing colour-blocking, 60s and 70s inspired clothes in luxe colours - I'm already hooked!

Here's a look at what H&M thought of the Spring Summer 2011 catwalk trends (above), and then watch the H&M lookbook to see what their take of Spring Summer 2011 is. (Look out for the pink, cream and gold block heel courts - shoe porn!). I'm actually liking the video lookbook much more than the images themselves, the clothes look so much better and you get a much better idea what the clothes look like on a body. Will more brands follow and release lookbook videos?

Wildfox White Label - Just Add Sequins

The newest Wildfox collection will be hitting stores anytime now, but even more exciting is the new lookbook! Shot by the Wildfox designer Kimberley Gordon and modelled by her room mate (who I'm assuming is also a model, and if not, why not?!). I'm loving the more embellished look on neutral colours and really coveting the maxi dresses. The make-up, hair and styling is classic hippy-chic Wildfox, and I'm loving the Chanel transfer tattoos!
White Label line is a touch more hippy, pulling inspiration from Jane Birkin, but still incorporating the royal family with mostly sequined graphics, gold buttons, griffins, and Military, floor length dresses. The White Label is sheer very antique. The floor length dresses, made of a heavier cotton, are suitable for any occasion and are sculpted to flow around the body, with extreme high boat necks and a beautiful, square shoulder baring, “want to live in it” shape.
