Sales, sales everywhere, but what the hell to buy?

The end of season sales are a-maz-ing this year, but with so much to choose from what's a bargain and what's just tat? The best game plan to shop the sales smartly is to buy classic wardrobe staples, items that suit your figure and anything that will translate well next season. So following my NYE sale outfit guide and my tips to Heat readers about sale shopping, here are a few examples of how to kick arse in the sales (click the image to shop the sale).

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

I'm slightly obsessed with Christmas decorations this year, and my flat is starting to resemble Santa's work shop. If you're not feeling particularly festive yet or haven't got around to adding some festive cheer to your pad, don't worry because there's still time AND now loads of gorgeous decorations are in the sale! Here are some of my favourites, now with up to 50% off.

I'm a traditional girl at heart, so most of these are quite traditional ideas, but there are so many styles and themes to choose from! Merry decorating!

My tips for the January sales on HeatWorld.com

I was contacted by HeatWorld.com to give my top tips for what to buy in the January sales that will last all the way through to SS 11, and after careful consideration I decided that the Luxe 70s trend was the way to go. Think Marc Jacobs SS 11 - luxe colours, volume and glamorous. Your style icons for this trend are Margot from The Good Life, Bianca Jagger at Studio 54 and Elizabeth Taylor on a yacht.
The one trend that will see you through A/W10 to S/S11 is 70s glam. Whether is Studio 54 all-out glamour, or chilled out Woodstock boho style, this trend isn't going anywhere. The best thing about this look is you can wear it top to toe, or just accessorize.
If you want the entire look, then stock up in the January sales on patterned, floaty maxi dresses and jumpsuits, platform shoes, tops and waistcoats with tassels and fringing and everything should be in luxe, jewel colours.
If you want to just dip your stylish toe into the 70s trend, pick up fringed leather bags, statement necklaces, turbans and floppy felt hats in the sales and make sure you're on trend for S/S11.
Some other great bloggers have given their top tips and key buys, so there's no excuse to buy tat in the sales this year - shop smart!

Louis Vuitton "Somewhere" Premiere Red Carpet

Elle Fanning is fast becoming one of my favourite young red carpet stars (don't worry Taylor and Lea, you're still my favourites). The 12 year old, yes, T-W-E-L-V-E!, younger sister of Dakota attended the premiere of her film, "Somewhere", last night. Set in the iconic Hollywood hotel, the Chateau Marmont, and directed by Sofia Coppola, this movie is sure to catapult Elle to mega-stardom. She's already got red carpet style down, the rest is easy!

I've been dying to see this film, and since my trip to LA in September, I've fallen for the Chateau's charms already.

The Best (and Worst) of the British Fashion Awards 2010 Red Carpet

After seeing the images from the British Fashion Awards at The Savoy tonight, I just *had* to post about it. There were some absolute travesties, and sadly not many looks that blew me away. In order of Best to Worst, here's my summary of the British Fashion Awards red carpet looks including my *ahem* fashion marking (I've included a nice visual treat at the end of the post to ease your pain).

And here's your reward, David Gandy.

I'm all about the second marker, any thoughts? Have I been too tough on someone? Is Lara Stone the best dressed in Calvin Klein, or did you love Erin O'Connor's mumsy look?
